**UPDATE** Turner Gill to be named the next Head Football Coach of the Kansas Jayhawks and is Bringing a ready made staff.

Gill, 47, the head coach at the University of Buffalo, is no stranger to Big 12 Conference football. He was the quarterback at Nebraska from 1980-83 and finished fourth in the voting for the 1983 Heisman Trophy, given annually to college football’s top player.

Gill will bring with him Carl Torbush, formerly the head coach at North Carolina and currently the defensive coordinator at Mississippi State, to be his defensive coordinator and Chuck Long, formerly the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma and formerly the head coach at San Diego State, to be his offensive coordinator. Gill is also expected to bring two other former head coaches onto his staff at the Jayhawks.
